It Looks Like Spring...

Thursday night, we discussed Chapters 2 and 3 of the book The Practicing Congregation at Graceland. As we've been discussing this book (this was the 3rd session), I have noticed something interesting. The first session, mostly I talked. The second session, a couple of people in addition to me talked. This session, I think everyone talked. And everone who talked had something good to say. By the end of the session, I think we'd done a really good job of absorbing what Diana Butler Bass has to say in those chapters, and starting to apply it to life at Graceland.

This group is a great example of what Graceland is becoming: a community of people contributing to the growth of the life of the church.

Building community...learning more than one another's name...partcipating in the lives of others in Christ...being church...these are the things we are trying to "grow" at Graceland. And I think we are doing an excellent job. It is beginning to look like Spring around here.
